We believe that this hormone is closely associated with testosterone. The one fact is that melatonin is naturally produced in the body when we sleep. In adolescence it is at its highest levels. This explains why that in adolescence, we sleep as late as we possibly can.

As we get older the levels of melatonin decrease in the body (Just Like Testosterone) andas a direct result we sleep less and less as we get older. This just on its own is the clue to it being linked to aging in our opinion.

So apart from the fact that we know melatonin helps us sleep. What are the other factors that melatonin has with regards to aging?

Research thus far has discovered the following:

1. It is a natural antioxidant. Better than vitamin E.

2. Helps prevent cardiovascular disease.

3. Cancer prevention.

4. Prevents the development of diabetes.
